Timang Gajah

This is a washed coffee, produced on the Wahana Estate in the Timang Gajah area in the Bener Meriah region of Sumatra – see Google maps below. It’s an Ateng varietal, and is fully washed. This method brings more fruit and sweetness to the fore with lemon-honey flavors and hints of black tea. If you like the Sumatra Royal Badger, and the Sulawesi that we brought in last year, we think you’ll appreciate this one.

These coffees normally go to Japan or Korea, where they are truly appreciated, but we managed to get our hands on a few bags (smaller micro-lot bags of 30k each) which we’re offering as a special only to people who walk in to the roastery and to our mail order customers. I don’t think this will last long.
