Black as we can get it! Slow roasting for 17 mins at up to 467 degrees produces a strong, distinctive taste, much favored by the coffee die-hards. Not for the squeamish!
The beans are a blend of high altitude, hard bean coffees from South America that can withstand such harsh treatment and don’t fall apart under pressure! You’ll notice very few broken beans in our French Roast – a good sign that we’ve used quality beans and treated them with care.

We discovered Telluride French roast during a ski trip to Colorado earlier this year and loved every cup. It rivals coffee we’ve drunk in classy places in France & Switzerland and despaired of ever finding here. Then we went home to Rochester, NY, and tried to get on with our lives and our usual coffee. Could not stop thinking about that French roast. We were delighted to find that we could have it shipped! When it arrived, the contrast to our “usual” morning coffee nearly brought tears to my eyes.
