We take an Organic Sumatra Mandheling which has been decaffeinated using the Swiss Water Process (just like all our Decafs) and roast it to a Vienna level, just like our Black Magic. The result is a heavy bodied, full-flavored, slightly caramel-toned thing of caffeine-free beauty.

    Very disappointing. Says “Dark” but our beans were Medium Dark at best and sadly my guts can only tolerate dark roasts. I was happy to support a local roaster but unfortunately now I have a bunch of beans I can’t drink.

      Hi there, Jason! Sorry about this. It is dark but it clearly is not as dark as the Decaf French. If we roast our Decaf Sumatra any darker then it destroys what flavor we get out of it. We’re sorry it wasn’t dark enough for you. How about getting your Decaf Dark Sumatra bags replaced with Decaf French bags?
