A great blend! It's smoother than the Cimarron (my favorite), but still has a great rich flavor. I prefer to grind it to expresso. I still find I have to use more than average grounds to achieve an acceptably strong cup of coffee. Overall I think this is my 2nd favorite non-decaf blend.

We first tried Avalanche experimentally at the 2014 Bluegrass Festival here in Telluride and it was a winner! Avalanche has since become one of our best sellers and our in-house espresso blend; along with Black Magic it is a flagship brand of our company. We take a medium roasted Brazil Cerrado and blend it 70/30 with our Black Magic Italian roast, creating a balanced profile of traditional flavors with a full body and low acidity.
